Family Class Description
A playful aerial class for kids and their grown-ups! Limited to just 4 kid + adult pairs, with each pair getting their own set of silks.
We alternate turns on the equipment: kids get to explore while their grown-ups learn how to support them, then adults get their own turn to train while the kids watch and cheer them on.
The class combines aerial technique, strength-building and creative exploration, with material adapted so both kids and adults have their own practice nurtured.
This isn’t a kids’ class with adults on the sidelines — it’s for both of you.
Age Suggestion for kiddos
5-10

Silks Choreography Class Description
This is an all-levels silks class, from first-timers to semi-professionals. Everyone is welcome.
We’ll start with a warm-up, then move into technique drills, sequencing and creative exploration, before finishing with a cool-down.
Sarah Bebe Holmes
Sarah has been teaching and performing since 2005. Originally from Maine, her career has taken her from the deserts of New Mexico to San Francisco's vibrant circus community before settling in Scotland in 2011.
Sarah's teaching blends anatomy, movement theory, and creative practice to help aerialists move with greater intelligence, efficiency, and authenticity.
Whether coaching technical precision or expressive performance, she encourages students to develop movement that is both deeply informed and uniquely their own.
About The Studio
How do I get there?
The studio is a church hall right along the river, just a one-minute walk from the high street and about a 10-minute walk from the train station. There is also a car park onsite.
The hall is in the Auld Kirk, just a minute walk from Ayr High street. Turn the corner at Christina's bar and you'll see the Auld Kirk. The hall is down the hill on the way to the river. There is a little walkway to a recessed courtyard. The door to the hall is there
And what is the studio like?
The space has wood floors and a beautiful new wooden ceiling, which does a fantastic job of holding in the heat. So, for those of you used to training in Scotland, you’ll be very pleased to hear that you will be WARM in the colder months. Yes, actual T-shirt training!
