A brand new retreat collaboration curated by Paper Doll Militia & CircAsana. Challenge yourself with our daily workshops, while basking in the glow of this hidden gem of California. Our cozy accommodations are centrally located in the heart of Avalon, Catalina’s quirky and quaint capital city. Explore everything that Catalina has to offer, including tons of options for hikes, excursions, ziplining, scuba, boat trips, and more. Our meals feature a fusion of traditional Mexican cuisine and contemporary fare, all prepared by a local restaurant. Ignite your spirit with the power of the sun, soar through the salty ocean air and sail into the sunset.
Aerial and Acrobatics Workshops
We welcome people of all levels who have some experience with aerial arts and acrobatics. Our aerial classes will take place on Silks, Sling, and Lyra.
Please do not sign up for this retreat if you have never taken circus classes before. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and we can discuss where you are at.
Those who know us, know we love to pack it in. At our retreats, you will have 30 hours of training time with the instructors. All of our workshops are optional, so we leave it up to you to find the perfect balance of training hard and relaxing or exploring the island.

Our accommodations are walking distance to a variety of activities and attractions on the island, making it very easy to explore during free time and after dinner.
Due to our retreat location on a small island, we require that all participants carry an air ambulance insurance policy, either through your health insurance or travel insurance provider. Payment options specific to your currency will be provided to you upon registration. We accept a range of various payment methods including, bank transfer, checks, and transferwise. We can accommodate most major currencies from around the world.
If you have come to one of our retreats before, you are in the family. Take an additional $200 off your total price this year. This includes any Paper Doll Militia Retreat or CircAsana Retreat
All meals, classes, RT transportation from Long Beach to Catalina Island via ferry, hike and snorkeling excursions, and drinks on cocktail night
Massage, Alcohol (other than on cocktail night), shopping / gifts, transportation for extra activities. We also highly recommend that you purchase an individual travel insurance policy.

Garden To Sky Hike
A moderate hike that starts at the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden and ends with a breathtaking view of both sides of the island.
Entry to the park is provided.
Daytime & Nighttime Snorkeling at the Avalon Underwater Park
We provide with snorkels, fins, masks, and wetsuits. The Avalon Underwater park at Casino Point is an easy access, protected, marine reserve that is open to the public. You’ll find a healthy dose of Pacific Coast sea life here including; kelp fish, horn sharks, Garibaldi, Bass, Opal Eye, Sea Urchin, Gorgonian, Rock Scallop, Rock Wrasse, Sargo, Senoritas, Spiny Lobster, Treefish, Anemone, Sea Cucumber, etc.
Night snorkels reveal the nocturnal creatures of the sea, including bioluminescent plankton!

Each house is stocked with yummy and healthy goodies for a do-it-yourself breakfast. Get up when you want, and help yourself to a variety of tea, coffee, juice, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, bread and nut butters, suitable for a variety of dietary needs.
Lunches and Dinners are catered and prepared considering the specific needs of the retreaters. They consider all dietary needs and allergies and provide a well balanced diet to rejuvenate, cleanse and keep your body nourished.
We will explore some local cuisine when we take everyone out for lunch and dinner on the town. We’ve hand selected top-notch cafes and restaurants in Avalon for a true Catalina experience.
How to Reserve Your Spot
Tell us about yourself, we want to get to know you. As soon as we have your registration details we will provide you with the best way to pay depending on which country you are coming from. We accept payment forms from all over the world. Payment in full is due to confirm your place. We will keep in close communication with you once you have registered to answer any more questions, provide you with a full packing list and let you know of any essentials you should know or bring.
50% refund up 60 days before the1st day of retreat
25% refund up to 30 days before the 1st day of the retreat
In extreme circumstances (such as illness, injury, or death in the family), we will provide special refund options if given proof or medical records.
New COVID-19 Clause:
If the retreat is cancelled by us, you will receive a 100% refund
If the retreat is postponed due to covid-19, you will have 2 options:
1) Your payment can be transferred in full to the postponed dates. At this point, your registration is confirmed and the Ongoing Cancellation Policy applies.
2) In the case that you prefer to cancel, you will receive a refund of tuition minus $400. This will go towards our administration costs and up front expenses
Catalina Here I come!
You have the choice of a few airports in coming to the beautiful island of Catalina.
Long Beach (LGB), Los Angeles (LAX), John Wayne (SNA), Burbank (BUR)
Arrival Day; Oct 18th, 2020 – Our ferry will depart from Catalina Landing in Long Beach at 5:45pm. We require everyone to be there between 1 to 2 hours ahead of time.
Departure Day; Oct 24, 2020 Our ferry will depart Avalon Port at 3:50pm. We will require everyone to be there at least 1 hour ahead of time, at 2:50pm.
