We are aiming to raise $6,000 from your support, which Paper Doll Militia will match! This will create the opportunity for 12 aerialists to take our course on 100% Scholarship within a year-long period.

The aim of our scholarship programs is to create greater accessibility to leadership within the aerial community for those experiencing barriers to their circus education. The remote format of our program allows us to broaden our reach and support aerialists from all over the world in building their teaching and leadership skills. This has also opened up more opportunities to support aerialists living in countries that have fewer resources and access to Teacher Trainings.

In just under 2 years, Paper Doll Militia has been able to give 15 Artful Leader’s scholarships and 8 Fly Black Aerialist Scholarships towards our Teacher Training programs for a value of $22,000. These recipients come from all over the globe, including the Philippines, Greece, Mexico, Brazil, & Cyprus, In order to continue to run these programs, we need help from people like you to make it possible!

We are running a matching campaign, all the funds raised will be matched by Paper Doll Militia. Our goal is to be able to provide a total of 12 Teacher Training Course Tuitions over the course of the next year, at a value of $12,000. If we can raise $6,000 we will match those funds and meet our goal!

How long till women are free to make choices about their bodies? At the moment, women's bodies are still controlled by law and legislation.

At one of our post show discussions someone said, "A woman will do anything to have a child and a woman will do anything to not have a child."

We are in strange times. We forget how much more progress there is to be had. and actually how much regress is at stake. We live in a world where abortion rights are at risk in the United States, where third party reproduction is still illegal in Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, Norway and Australia, where NHS in the UK covers two rounds of IVF for free for women under the age of 42, but does not cover same sex couples.

Components of a Straight Arm Invert
Part 1: Stabilize Pelvis

Hip Flex Wall Test
Stand in neutral pelvis with a small bend in your knees and lift your leg
Now stand with your pelvis in posterior tilt – aka tuck your tail and lift your leg. How does it feel?

Mini V's Drill
Posterior Tilt with adduction (and a little external rotation) of the legs. Keep it small, not going into hip flexion.

The Seam
This is the moment where the hip flexion ends and the lat push begins. It can be helpful to exaggerate this moment, so you can clearly see that you are achieving a full range of motion with the hip flexion before beginning the lat push.
