is basically a hip key with your feet?

Never got that memo? Try it in your body—watch how it works.

Already knew that? When did it click for you—was it when you first learned those skills, or did the connection come later?

Isn’t it so rad when the veil lifts and you see how the wraps work and relate?

Whenever it happened for you, drop a little heart if that realization felt like magic. 💫

Training for reps with bad form. It may sound simple, but funny enough there’s a lot of people out there who would rather have numbers than technique. All that’s going to get you is a whole lotta shoulder pain.
*
*
We love these “Step up Pull-ups” because you can really maintain proper form while still getting a burn.
*
*
Tips:
✅ Pull elbows into rib cage
✅ Keep space by the ears
✅ Pull straight up

❓Did you know? Working the negative otherwise known as eccentric contraction, is one of the most effective ways to build strength 💪🏼

How to work at your creative edge 👇 It’s an How to work at your creative edge 👇

It’s an amazing feeling to stumble onto an idea that feels new, exciting, and dare I say….unique.

But if you ever feel like you’ve been chasing the muse for long stretches, you’ve most likely expirienced a creative rut. (you’re not alone! it happens to even the best artists)

The iconic David Bowie dropping this truth bomb gives us a simple way to know if we’re working at our creative edge.

If you feel comfortable in your art making, you’re probably not pushing yourself far enough.

What would it feel like to try a new approach? To go a little out of your depth?

How would it be to try a brand new apparatus and tap into beginners mind?

Or co-collaborate with an artist from another discipline for some fresh takes?

That creative sweet spot is just a little further than you think.

When you’re deep in a process it can sometimes be hard to get perspective…are you pushing yourself far enough to tap into your full potential?

🌀That’s why were here to support you in your creative journey

We’re Sarah & Rain, and we’ve been devising our own original productoins for 20+ years. We’d love to help you go beyond the tricks and discover your own unique style.

What is happening here? Sketch is a unique event What is happening here?

Sketch is a unique event where we have 3 different art-forms all responding to one another: drawing, aerial and music. Each of us is improvising at the same time.

Do ever feel alone in your art making?

Alone in creating a new act
Alone with your painting
Alone crafting by hand

Sure there is an element of going inside that’s important.
But creativity also craves connection.

Making does not ALWAYS have to be a lonely art

Creating alongside others sparks new energy and fresh ideas.

What if you thought differently about “making”?

What if you let yourself cross-collaborate, improvise, and simply play together?

See what magic happens when you set time aside to play with others, even better if there is no output required or result needed every single time.

What about you? Are there other art-forms beyond aerial that you do? Are there any that you love to watch or be a part of?

Tell us in the comments!

You don’t need goals of being in Cirque du soleil to be an artist

A big beautiful creative goal can look so many ways. That’s the joy of creativity…. There’s no one straight path.

Your goal could be to try something out of your comfort level, or to add in a little experimentation to your training regimen.

Or it could be an artistic project that’s been brewing in your imagination for years!

Whatever it is, I want to hear about it! Share your big, beautiful, creative goals here 👇
