It’s so crazy that just a little bit of time & distance can change our view of ourselves. ⏰

Found this little snippet when scrolling through my phone. Mostly what I see when I watch this now is that I’m genuinely enjoying myself. Isn’t that why we do this?

We are our own harshest judges. If you are needing a bit more ease try this. Don’t watch your footage right away. Wait a week, then watch it. Try it and tell us how it goes or share your thoughts on this subject.👇comment below

❓When is your apparatus more than an aerial appr ❓When is your apparatus more than an aerial appratus?

What are all the ways we can use our apparatus for more expression, to move a story forward or to create a visceral environment?

In this scene of Unhinged XY, we turned the entire stage into a windstorm, along with the use of a giant piece of fabric that spans across the floor (made out of parachute material) along with our aerial fabrics that waft so beautifully. Then, with the help of some high powered air blowers, we were in business.

This was a tricky effect to make, but rewarding in the end. What visions are dancing around your minds right, now?

Or how have you used aerial apparatus to portray something else?

Coaches, this one’s for you. Today’s lesson Coaches, this one’s for you.

Today’s lesson on how to slow…your…roll... and deliver some yoda style wisdom to your students.

We know you’ve got a ton valuable information share, so let it land better by allowing the last nugget you gave to be truly integrated before moving on to the next one.

Just like with everything, finding the right timing is a skill that needs practice.

Just another example of how being a great coach is not JUST about being a great aerialist.

With experience and practice you’ll find those magic moments more and more often, which will hugely benefit your students.

How have you worked on developing this skill? Tell us about it in the comments

We still have spaces left for our June Remote Teacher Training. All you need is access to a safe aerial studio and the interwebs

A love affair or a springtime fling? 💖 * * Trap A love affair or a springtime fling? 💖

Trapeze is generally not as well loved as an apparatus as lyra and we often pop a few cherries 🍒with folks trying it out for the first time on our retreats. Still there are always a handful of die-hards who come specifically for the trap.

*
In any case - we killed it this year and everyone learned to love those two ropes and bar.

Are you multi-apparatus as well? Which apparatus do you do the least often and why? Tell us!
One of my favorite drop sequences....Bucking bronc One of my favorite drop sequences....Bucking bronco into Dolphin (from Outside seatbelt)

Originally, I learned the “Dolphin” from @hedmanleo and started applying the body mechanic technique into all my other back dives.

Now I refer to the “Dolphin” technique as any time you initiate the drop by leading with the head and chest back, in an arched position. Sometimes it’s also accompanied by leg drive (in this video, there’s a BIG leg drive involved). Extra credit if you make dophin noises while dropping🤪🐬

Using this technique will bring a lot of power to your back dives. I love anything that helps to work smarter, not harder, in the air.

Have you tried Dolphining in a back dive?
